CBS/NY Times - They’re all the same
By now most of the world has heard of the New York Times’ Page 1 story about missing munitions in Iraq, laying blame at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. You’re much less likely to have heard of the NBC report debunking the story - saying that the munitions were gone when we got there.
There’s even another twist. Turns out, our friends at 60 Minutes would have very much liked to be the one’s leading the charge against the President - but they couldn’t get it done fast enough.
[The source behind the NYT story first went to CBSNEWS’ 60 MINUTES last Wednesday, but the beleaguered network wasn’t able to get the piece on the air as fast as the newspaper could print. Executive producer Jeff Fager hoped to break the story during a high-impact election eve broadcast of 60 MINS on October 31.]
I’m telling you - these people are all the same.
And for the record - remember this name: Jill Abramson. She’s the Managing Editor of the New York Times - and the word is she’s the driving force behind this last-minute push to bash the President, facts be damned.
