FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace talks to Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. The big question? According to the FNS web site: “What is the government doing to protect the U.S. economy?”

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos will have Nancy Pelosi on to talk about 2008, including Spitzmas, then he talks to Paulson.

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert has surrogates: New York Rep. Nita Lowey for Hillary and former Dem maverick Bill Bradley for Barry.

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer has surrogates: Leon Panetta for Hillary and Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts forBarry.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer has Paulson then surrogates: Dianne Feinstein for Hillary and Pat Leahy for Barry. He also chats with an economic advisor from the Clinton and the McCain campaigns.

As long as we see surrogates, the fight is ongoing and probably becoming nastier. For that reason only, I kind of temporarily dig surrogates.

What will the government do to protect the U.S. economy? I’ve a novel approach: Leave it alone. Paulson won’t say that, but on the trail, McCain is making similar noises.

Nancy Pelosi is unbalanced and unstable, and she’s not even fun.

I’ll have the review here at RedState on the morrow. (Afternoon, that is.)
